Augustow is a magical place, ideal for rest and recuperation. The location of our spa resort in the Augustowski Forest – the largest forest complex Poland – is a guarantee of decent rest. The city boasts a number of natural resources, such as rich peat deposits, natural essential oils secreted by lush vegetation, and mineral water. A great attraction is the 102 km long Augustowski Canal connecting the Vistula and the Niemen rivers, as well as the nearby lakes. It is a unique and immensely popular hiking and canoe trail.
Augustow is a tourist town, attracting people craving for active recreation or seeking relaxation in quiet and intimate surroundings of lakes and forests. What’s important, you can get there from our spa resort by bus.
After you’ve completed your treatments for the day, you can check out our additional attractions. The spa resort is situated near lake Necko, featuring a vast beach. If you’re into active leisure, you can use one of our tourist and mountain bikes, nordic walking sticks, or simply relax on a stretcher. The city offers also other attractions – you can rent kayaks, scooters, boats, motor boats or pedalos. There is also something for the little ones. A water slide, inflatable outdoor jumpers, beach volleyball pitch on the beach at the spa resort, and, in the near vicinity, a go-kart track, tennis courts, an "amusement park", as well as Poland's first electric water ski lift—you will surely find something of interest to you. In addition, the Spa resort organizes trips (e.g. to Lithuania) and many other events. The organization of trips and events depends on the number of those willing. The list of attraction includes:
Lake cruises (from May to the end of September):
Sleigh rides combined with a bonfire feast:
The Wigry Narrow Gauge Railroad:
